Charity

Giving back to the community is important to McGregor Socks. That is why McGregor donates thousands of pairs of socks each year to support organizations that help people in need.

Heatwave Volleyball Tournament

On Saturday, July 7th, 2018 McGregor once again participated in the Heatwave Volleyball Tournament, with all proceeds going to SickKids Hospital

This is the 9th year that McGregor has participated in this event and the “Eat My Socks” team performed very well. We won our first 5 games, finishing 1st place in our pool and entering the playoffs.

There were 84 teams in the tournament, so making it to the final 16 teams was an accomplishment. As usual, the “Eat My Socks” team were the best dressed on the beach as we sported our Superstar knee-high’s, along with matching headbands and wristbands.

Most importantly, we raised over $2,000 for SickKids this year – and were presented with an trophy for being one of the top fundraisers at last year’s tournament. All in all, a fun day at the beach for a very good cause!

Just Socks Foundation

Currently, our charity work is focused on a collaboration with Just Socks. They raise funds for new sock donations to give to qualified partner charities/shelters – NEW socks are one of the most needed items of clothing for the homeless but one of the least donated items.  Just Socks began in 2014 by donating to charities in Toronto and they plan to expand across Canada.

Other Charities

While the bulk of our charitable work is currently in co-ordination with the Just Socks Foundation, we have worked with many other charities throughout the years.
